As you
may know, the yearly National Leadership
Conference (NLC)
succeeds the former biennial Camp Fire USA National Convention.
The NLC will spare the fanfare of an exhibit hall and large
banquets in favor of deeper training opportunities for key
council staff and volunteers.
This new
training format presents an exciting opportunity for practical,
ongoing trainings to maximize council capacity systemwide,
as well as a great chance to network with colleagues across
the country and have fun!
Please
utilize this online NLC resource as you plan for your council's
attendance at the National Leadership Conference. And check
back periodically as new information is added!
GENERAL
INFORMATION
WHO:
In order to optimize the launch of our new ogranization-wide
strategic plan and capitalize on training opportunities, we
need the senior representatives of all councils in attendance
at the NLC.
Each council
should plan to send:
- executive
director/CEO
- board
chair
- program
director/other lead staff member
- youth
representative(s)
WHEN:
October 27-30, 2005Plan to arrive midday Thursday
for a general session that evening and depart midday Sunday,
following the Congress meeting.
WHERE:
Westin Crown Center Hotel in Kansas City, home of our National
Headquarters!
